Restored Lawn-Boy 7227 push lawn mower. 1977 model. S/N 7602979. This mower features Lawn-Boy's D601 OMC 2 stroke engine and a light weight cast aluminum deck. Requires a 32:1 gas/oil mix.
This machine has been restored and is fully operational. The entire mower has been thoroughly cleaned and degreased. The aluminum deck has been striped of pant and powder coated Lawn-Boy green. The deck had a small hole that has been professionally welded, several stone bruises, and a small chunk missing under the discharge cover. The chrome on the handle is in good condition but does have some pitting. The decals are original and are fair shape. The shroud has some discoloration, and the speed adjustment lever is broken but functional.
The modular carburetor has been disassembled and cleaned. The muffler base and cover have also been vapor blasted. It has a new air filter cover and fuel shutoff valve. The wheels show minimal wear.
This mower is in good shape. It has that classic, distinctive D engine sound This machine starts a little hard, requiring a fair amount of priming. It is ready to cut grass or become part of your collection.
